In plain words
- Your shoppers’ data belongs to your store. You decide how it is used; we process it only to run the Platform for you.
- You must tell your shoppers how you use their data and get consent where the law requires it.
This summary helps you read the text below; it is not part of it.
1. Roles
These terms form part of the Terms & Conditions. For personal data of shoppers who visit or buy from your store ("Shopper Data"), you are the Data Fiduciary and CloudMart24 is your Data Processor, as those terms are used in the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
2. What we do
- process Shopper Data only to provide, secure and support the Platform, and on your instructions given through the store admin;
- make sure our staff with access to it are bound to confidentiality;
- use reasonable security safeguards, as described in the Terms & Conditions;
- use only service providers needed to run the Platform (such as hosting) and the third-party services you choose to connect;
- inform you without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting your Shopper Data, and help you with what the law requires; and
- help you, where reasonable, to answer shoppers’ requests to see, correct or erase their data.
3. What you do
- publish your own privacy policy in your store and tell shoppers what you collect and why;
- have a lawful basis, including consent where needed, for each use — especially marketing messages;
- answer your shoppers’ requests and complaints, and name your own grievance contact; and
- only connect third-party services that you have checked and are allowed to share data with.
4. When the subscription ends
Export the Shopper Data you need before your plan ends. After an account is suspended or closed, we may delete Shopper Data, as set out in the Terms & Conditions.
